Hmm... I just sent you an email. Hopefully I'll be able to type up some step-by-step instructions on getting the Airport Extreme set up in bridge mode. It *should* be really simple, though, it *did* take me a while to get it all right.

I'll post it here AND send it to your email address when I get it all typed up!

Shucks. I guess I spoke too soon.

I left town on business the next day and my family started complaining that they could only get WIFI when they were near the DIR-655. I've since returned home and rebooted everything.

It appears that the Airport Extreme is broadcasting the network with the same SSID but does not seem to act as a "bridge" for the DIR-655 by, for instance, delivering an IP address from the DIR-655 to the device.

I haven't done any extensive trouble-shooting yet but admit that I'm a bit stumped and don't know where to start. Any thoughts?

Thanks! I was looking for this exact set-up: Airport Extreme as an access point to extend a dlink DIR-655 network. It took me less time to configure than to read through all the posts before I found yours.
